1996 World Series. Game One. Braves 12, Yankees 1. A gem from John Smoltz and two home runs by Andruw Jones spelled doom for the Yanks. Sound familiar?
So before jumping off a cliff (which I have to admit I considered last night), remember that we’ve been in this spot in the past. The Yankees actually lost Game Two of that series as well, by a score of 4-0, before bouncing back and taking 4 in a row to win the World Series.
But I’d rather not go the 0-2 comeback route this time around. Just beat Pedro tonight.
Sorry Swisher , Gardner in center tonight . No time to worry about hurt feelings or being loyal , a change is needed . right now Nick cant hit a beach ball with a guitar ..... is Chase Utley trying to get a hair gel contract .Just a thought .
ReplyDeleteis that confirmed, or your opinion?
ReplyDeleteHi Mike , its Frankie C . Its just my opinion . Swisher is a big part of the team . Right now he is so lost with the bat that maybe its not a bad idea to take a night off . Congrats on your new Blog .
ReplyDeleteWhat happened to Andruw Jones... he was supposed to be the next Griffey...
